In 1975 The first Indian satellite, Aryabhata, was launched using a Russian rocket. It provided India with the basis of learning satellite technology and designing. Why this first sattelite named with Aryabhatta? Because he is the great Indian scientist and father of Mathematics. Aryabhatta the great ancient Indian scientist. Aryabhata (Sanskrit: आर्यभट; IAST: Āryabhaṭa) or Aryabhata I (476–550 CE) was the first of the major mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian mathematics and Indian astronomy. His major work, Aryabhatiya, a compendium of mathematics and astronomy, was extensively referred to in the Indian mathematical literature and has survived to modern times. The mathematical part of the Aryabhatiya covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry, and spherical trigonometry.
